Mill Street, Cleona, died Monday, October 22, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. Bricker Meyer who died on July 15, 2006. Born in Fredericksburg on June 10, 1924, he was the son of the late John K. and Emma I. Shutter Meyer. He was a retired master carpenter working for the Cornwall Ore Mines. He was a 1942 graduate of Hershey High School; a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Lebanon; a life member of the Cleona Fire Co. where he served as former president, was a volunteer fire fighter, and also worked in the social hall; a former member of the Annville American Legion and was an avid softball player in High School. Surviving are three sons, Charles J. "Butch," husband of Lawraine Meyer of Saugerties, N.Y., David L. Meyer at home, and Thomas E. Meyer of Lancaster; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John P., Ammon, and Myron Martin Meyer; and three sisters, Louella Schwalm, Esther Ebling, and Thelma Killian. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John's Stained Glass Window Fund, 931 Willow Street, Lebanon, PA 17046.
