Mobley, Sister Edith L. Dean Edith L. Dean Mobley LEBANON Sister Edith L. Dean Mobley was born on December 12, 1923. The daughter of the late Rosa Bennett Dean and wife to the late Henry C. Mobley. She was raised in Lebanon, Pa., and was baptized at The Second Baptist Church of Lebanon, Pa. Mother to three beautiful daughters, Shirley Wilson Smith who resides in Lancaster, Pa., Rosemarie Mobley Cunningham who resides in Lebanon, Pa., and the late Eunice "Mae West" Wilson. She is also the grandmother of eight grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren. In 1993 she became a member of the St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church Family. She once served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher, president of the Usher Board, Trustee Board member, chairperson of the scholarship committee and the Missionary Board. As a member of the Missionary Board, she served as president over 25 years. During that time, she was also the chairperson of the Lancaster- Lebanon Area Missionary Society for 10 years. Sister Mobley served on the Board of Stewards, a position bestowed upon person who exemplify a Christ-like life. She always loved the Lord and most certainly, the A.M.E. Church. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the local food bank and did prison ministry. During her time of employment, Sister Mobley worked for many years at Talbot Hall, a treatment center for girls. When the doors to Talbot Hall closed, Sister Mobley sought employment at the VA Hospital in Lebanon County. She retired from there in 1982, after working as a nursing assistant for 10 years. Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon. Interment will be made in the national cemetery at Fort Indiantown Gap. Viewing will be Friday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Edith White Ming Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 596, Lebanon PA 17042.
