  Thomas Bruce Paine LEBANON Thomas Bruce Paine, formerly of Lebanon, lost his 
  battle with cancer on November 27, 2007, at the Sylvia's House Hospice in 
  Ocala, Fla. He was 55 years old and was the son of the late Paul and Mary 
  Paine. Tom graduated from Lebanon Senior High School in 1970 and was well known 
  for his athletic ability, especially football, where he excelled at the 
  quarterback position. Although he was recruited by numerous Division I 
  colleges, he eventually chose Arizona State, where Danny White, who later 
  played for the Dallas Cowboys, was his backup. Tom also excelled at basketball 
  for Lebanon High and played baseball as well, where people were amazed at his 
  ability to throw to second base from his knees. Besides his parents, Tom is 
  survived by brothers Paul Paine Jr., William Paine, Patrick Paine; and sister 
  Donna Guercio, all of Lebanon. Services will be private, and at the convenience 
  of the family.
