  Pecht, Donald B.
       
  Donald B. Pecht MIFFLIN COUNTY Strodes Mills. Donald B. Pecht, 75, of Strodes 
  Mills (Mifflin County), died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, as the 
  result of an accident. Born Sept. 1, 1932, in Wayne Township, he was a son of 
  the late William E. and Margaret E. (Stayner) Pecht. His wife, Anna L. 
  (Anthony) Pecht, whom he married April 8, 1961, survives. Also surviving are, 
  children, Donald W. Pecht and companion Pam Shawver, Lewistown, Lisa A. Smith 
  and husband Frank, Lebanon, Scott R. Pecht, Strodes Mills; a sister, Ida Mae 
  Behrendt and husband Fred, Cortez, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kathryne and 
  Victoria Pecht, Tyler Smith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert 
  Pecht; and five half brothers, Charles, John, George, Earnest, and Raymond 
  Pecht. As a member of Teamsters Local 776, he was a truckdriver for Noerr Motor 
  Freight, Lewistown, for 27 years, and he retired from ABF Trucking in 1995. He 
  was a member of the Ryde United Methodist Church. Since 1995, he enjoyed 
  spending winters in Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday 
  at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Dean 
  Walrath officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown. 
  Friends May call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of 
  service Wednesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
  contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Ave., 
  Building D, Suite 101, Altoona, PA 16601.
