  John E. Powell Jr.   
  John E. Powell Jr. PALMYRA John E. Powell Jr., 76, of Palmyra died Tuesday, 
  October 16, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born January 
  13, 1931, in Union Deposit, a son of the late John E. Sr. and Mary (Goode) 
  Powell. Mr. Powell was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Hershey 
  High School class of "48," retired as a superintendent from the H.B. Reese 
  Candy Co., was also a member of the Winross Truck Collectors Club, and an avid 
  NASCAR racing fan. Surviving are his wife, Gloria G. Powell; stepdaughter, 
  Michele and husband Ken Snyder of New Cumberland; step-son, Michael and wife 
  Susan Capriotti of Cleona; four step-grandchildren, Abbey, Angie, Emma, and 
  Nina; two sisters, Kaye F. Brandt of Palmyra and Mary Lou Hollis of Radcliff, 
  Ky.; a brother, Richard Powell of West Chester; and a number of nieces and 
  nephews. Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the 
  Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Route No. 422 and Lucy Avenue, Hershey. 
  Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. 
  Interment with military honors will be in the Hanoverdale Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to American Heart 
  Association, 4999 Louise Drive, Suite No. 104, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Send
