Saylor, 100, of Jonestown passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007, at Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Albert Hock and the late Harvey Saylor. Born in Lebanon of February 4, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma Boyer Shilling, and a stepdaughter of Ida Hower. She had been a knitter at the former Hosiery Mill in Lebanon and was also a seamstress at the dress factory. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jonestown, where she had been a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Jonestown Perseverance Fire Co. Auxiliary and the Northern Lebanon Senior Citizens where she had also volunteered for many years. She is survived by her daughters Fern L. Peiffer of North Annville Township and Jean M., wife of Raymond E. Kulp of Lebanon; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine Hopkins, a brother Robert Shilling, and a grandson Donald Hock. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Hill Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church at P.O. Box 658, Jonestown, PA 17038.
