    Ruth M. Shartle   
  Ruth M. Shartle WOMELSDORF Ruth M. Shartle, 91, a resident of Phoebe Berks 
  Health Care Center for the past four years and a former resident of Womelsdorf, 
  died Wednesday 2:25 a.m. at the center. She was the widow of Charles J. "Mick" 
  Shartle who died Feb. 27, 1994. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the 
  late George A. and Mayme C. (Zimmerman) Long. She retired from the former Park 
  Garage, Womelsdorf, and from the former Schaeffer & Wagner firm there. She was 
  a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg. She was a charter member and 
  past treasurer of the Max Schaeffer Post No. 6558, VFW Auxiliary, Womelsdorf, 
  and the Home Association of POS of A, Northampton, Pa. Surviving are a brother 
  Coolidge D. Long, Robesonia; and a sister, Pauline Long Shepler, Womelsdorf; 
  several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers, Harvey, Paul, 
  George Jr., Karl, Howard and Earl Long. Funeral services will be held Monday, 
  10 a.m. from Christ Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran & Reformed 
  Cemetery, Womelsdorf. Friends may call at Christ Church from 9 a.m. Monday.

  19567.
