  James Clement Steckbeck Jr. LEBANON James C. (Jim) Steckbeck Jr., 68, of 
  Laurel, Md., passed away November 4, 2007, at the University of Maryland 
  Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. Jim was born in Lebanon, Pa., on February 25, 
  1939. He was the son of he late James C. and Miriam Romig Steckbeck. He 
  graduated 1957 from Lebanon Senior High School. Jim was employed by the U.S. 
  Army and the federal government for more than 30 years before retiring in 1993. 
  Jim was an avid golfer, traveler and a member of the Phoenix Society. Surviving 
  are son Andrew Steckbeck and grandson Henry, and son Jonathan Steckbeck of 
  Cheltenham, England. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen Steckbeck and 
  Catherine Maransky of Lebanon; and two brothers, Henry of Lebanon and Samuel of 
  Harrisburg; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 
  sisters Marie Shay Probst, Patricia Ann Yantz, Gertrude R. Steckbeck; and 
  brothers Edward, Charles, and Michael Steckbeck. Funeral services were 
  conducted at Fleck Funeral Home in Laurel, Md., on November 15. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
