  Carl F. Uffner   
  Carl F. Uffner LEBANON Carl F. Uffner, 64, of 720 Locust St., Lebanon, died 
  Friday, October 12, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of 
  the late Dorothy L. Walsh Uffner. Born in Lebanon on July 6, 1943, he was the 
  son of the late Joseph and Mary Lance Uffner. He was a retired union mason 
  tender. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, and the Democratic Committee. 
  Carl enjoyed coin collecting and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Surviving 
  are six children, Denise Mills of Lebanon, Ruby Brightbill of Florida, William 
  L., husband of Tammy L. Karpew of Lititz, Michael C. III, husband of Brandie 
  Karpew of Palmyra, Peter J. Karpew of Millersville and Harley D. Brightbill at 
  home; nin grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Daniel 
  Uffner of Lebanon, Jim Uffner of North Carolina, Gene Uffner of Lebanon, Frank 
  Uffner of Lebanon and Jospeh Uffner of Lebanon; four sisters, Peg Roof of 
  Lebanon, Bernie Saylor of Lebanon, Gertrude Nye of Lebanon and Joan Hicks of 
  Lebanon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas 
  Uffner. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 from St. 
  Mary's Church, 2 N. Eighth St., Lebanon. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing 
  hours Monday evening from 6-8 and Tuesday morning 99:30 at Thompson Funeral 
  Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. Recitation of the rosary Monday at 7. In 
  lieu of flowers donations may be made to Girls & Boys Town, The Village of Boys 
  Town, Boystown, Nebraska 68010. Share a memory with the family starting Monday
