Helen Osgood Umberger, 88, resident of MLF Towers, St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Menorah Manor. She was the wife of the late Jacob Quentin Umberger, and a long time resident of Holmdel, N.J., and Mt. Gretna, Pa. Born in Utica, N.Y., on October 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Albert Kendrick and Emily Benson Osgood. A graduate of St. Mary's School, Peekskill, and Elmira College, she had worked for the Johnson O'Connor Human Engineering Laboratory and was a retired R.N. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Surviving are four children, John of Mt. Gretna, Pa., Emily of Tempe, Ariz., Margaret and husband George Hunt of Redington Beach, Fla., and Sara of Waltham, Mass.; a sister, Ann Howland of Austin, Texas; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Osgood. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Pa., and will be officiated by her sister's husband, the Reverend Dr. William C.
