  Paul R. Zearfoss Sr. LEBANON Paul R. Zearfoss Sr., 82, of 335 Walnut St., 
  Lebanon, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the home of his son in Lancaster. 
  He was born February 3, 1925 in Annville, a son of the late Jacob S. and May 
  Elizabeth Kleinfelter Zearfoss. He was an Army veteran of World War II having 
  served in the 26th Infantry, 1st Division which was in the D-Day Normandy 
  Invasion. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in Germany. He 
  received the Good Conduct Medal, American Service Theatre Medal, EAME Theatre 
  Service Medal with 3 bronze stars, Victory Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and 
  Arrowheard. He was a retired steelworker from the Bethlehem Steel, where he 
  served 2 terms as vice president of the Steelworker's Union, was shop steward, 
  served on the Board of Directors and Grievance Committee. He enjoyed hunting 
  and woodworking and was known at local craft shows for his fine woodcrafted 
  model auto reproductions. Surviving are wife of 62 years: Kitty V. Pledger 
  Zearfoss of Lebanon; children: Paul R. Zearfoss, Jr. spouse of Doralyn Zearfoss 
  of Battle Creek, Michigan, Susan spouse of Dr. Phillip Wise of Selinsgrove, and 
  David spouse of Wendy Zearfoss of Lancaster; siblings Donald spouse of Ethel 
  Zearfoss, Eleanor Marinkov, Audrey spouse of Randy Adkins, Jeanette spouse of 
  Thomas Hombroski, and Fern Bordlemay Roche; grandchildren: Christopher spouse 
  of Mary Zearfoss of Napierville, Illinois, Greg spouse of Jackie Zearfoss of 
  Gardner, North Carolina, Benjamin Wise of Rochester, New York, Emily Wise of 
  Selinsgrove, David Zearfoss and Joshua Zearfoss both of Lancaster; great 
  grandchildren Anna and Kelly Zearfoss both of Napierville, Illinois; sistersin-
  law Alverta and Myrtle Zearfoss. He was preceded in death by son Michael Eric 
  Zearfoss and siblings Arlene Probst, Clifford Zearfoss, Jacob "Hank" Zearfoss 
  Jr., Kenneth Zearfoss, Dale Zearfoss, and Glenn Zearfoss. Viewing is scheduled 
  for Monday, December 31, 2007, from 11AM-12:30 PM at Christman's Funeral Home, 
  Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon followed by services at 12:30 PM. Burial 
  will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
