Ail, 66, of 24 Oak Knoll Estates, Elizabethtown, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at the Hospice of Lancaster County. He is the husband of Judith A. (Damon) Ail. He was born in Hershey on December 10, 1941, to Merritt and Ethel Henry Ail. He retired after 41 years from Hershey Foods, working in the printing and Rolo departments. He was a member of the Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, the Chocolate Worker's Union Local 464, and the American Legion Post 386 of Hershey. He coached Midget Baseball in Hershey for 25 years, was an avid collector of baseball and hockey memorabilia, and was a New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Scott of Hershey, Steve, husband of Sandra of Marietta, and Debra, wife of Brian O'Roark of Hummelstown; his grandchildren, Anthony, Summer, Tanner, Jimmy, Joel, Dylan and Dallas; a brother, Merritt Ail of Hershey. His parents and his sister, Nancy DeWalt, preceded him in death. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of viewing on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 9- 10 a.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by his funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel D. Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4175, Lancaster, PA 17604.
