Amig, 88, of Emmaus, Pa., died Monday, May 26, 2008, at ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Romaine G. Amig, who died on February 4, 1995. Born in Allentown on October 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth W. Uhler Sr. and Hattie Kuhns Uhler. She was employed by Emmaus Mfg., and formerly employed by Richard Sportswear in Allentown as a sewing machine operator. She was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1936. Her hobbies included sewing, traveling, crossword puzzles, and daily walks. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, L. Jeanne Alexander of Myerstown; two brothers, Dale and Robert Uhler; one sister, Mary Jane Nadig; two grandchildren, Roxanne, wife of Louis Felli, and Danny Alexander, husband of Lisa Alexander; two stepgrandchildren, Frank Alexander, husband of Donna Alexander, and Debbie Nichol, companion of Roy Boehm; two greatgrandchildren, Alyssa Felli and Kyle Alexander; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Todd Strunk, Bobby Nichol, Tracy Garr and Brandi Alexander. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Uhler; and a son-in-law, Clayton Alexander. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 W. Hamilton St., P.O. Box 748, Allentown, PA 18105-0748. Kreamer Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
