  Ayers, Vivian R. Holbert   
   
   
  Vivian R. Holbert Ayers, 77, of Palmyra, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed 
  away Friday, September 26, 2008, at her home. Born in her parent's home in 
  Rutherford on June 4, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Verna M. Bricker 
  Swartz and Ralph Holbert. Vivian was a homemaker, and had worked part time at 
  Wendy's in Palmyra. She was of the Protestant faith. Vivian enjoyed playing 
  bingo and cards, and spending time with her family. Vivian was preceded in 
  death by her husband, Bruce D. Ayers, on August 26, 1973; a daughter, Lovonda 
  J. Mark, on July 27, 2003; a sister, Doris E. Beam; and a brother, Raymond L. 
  Strominger Sr. She is survived by one son, Gregory D. Ayers, with whom she 
  lived; one daughter, Cheryl Lynne Boyer, wife of Michael; one sister, Shirley 
  J. MacCormack of Middletown; one brother, Mervin H. "Sonny" Strominger of 
  Campbelltown; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral 
  service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at 7 p.m. in the Trefz & 
  Bowser Funeral Home Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with the Rev. John 
  A. Schaefer, pastor of The Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, 
  officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday from 5 p.m. 
  until time of the service. Inurnment will be on Friday, October 3, 2008, at 11 
  a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Those desiring may

  Unit, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
