Balmer, Lynn Suzanne LYNN SUZANNE BALMER HARRISBURG Lynn Suzanne Balmer, 51, of Manheim, formerly of Lakeside Avenue, Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, January 17, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 24, 1956, in Lebanon, Pa. Surviving are her parents, Charles V. and Nancy L. (Miller) Balmer, also of Manheim; and her two sisters, Kathy (Balmer) Rowley of Millersville, wife of Steven Rowley, and Beth (Balmer) Barrett of Temecula, Calif., wife of Roger Barrett. She was the aunt of Austin and Hunter Rowley of Millersville. Also surviving are her aunts Irene (Miller) Sanders of Manheim, wife of Jack Sanders, Carolyn (Miller) Fritz of Pewaukee, Wis.; and Olga Shreve of Wellsville, Pa., wife of John Shreve; and her cousins, Kelly (Hampton) Greensmith, wife of Dr. Eric Greensmith, Toni (Hampton) Rakoski, wife of Joseph Rakoski, Joel Sanders, and Monica (Sanders) Getz, wife of Roy Getz. She was employed as a computer operator by the Department of Defense, Mechanicsburg, Pa. She was a graduate of Dauphin County Vocational/Technical School. She was a past worthy advisor of Harrisburg Assemby No. 85, Order of Rainbow for Girls; a past worthy matron of Estrellita Chapter No. 512, Order of the Eastern Star; and past president of Cedarettes of Harrisburg Forest No. 43. She was also a member of Bethany Shrine No. 7, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Her greatest joys in life were her nephews, her friends, her dog, Sammie, and going to Disney World. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Monday, January 21st, in the Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hershey. Eastern Star services will begin at 11 a.m. immediately followed by the funeral service with the Reverend Dr. Darlis J. Swan officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Asera Care Hospice, 315 Primrose Lane, Suite 101, Mountville, PA 17554; or to the Zion Lutheran Church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
