  Gilbert L. Barb of Palmyra died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the age of 79 in the 
  M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Catharine Jones Barb. He was 
  born in Lawn on April 1, 1929, to Albert T. and Nellie M. Barb. He retired 
  after 43 years, working in the shipping department for Hershey Foods. He loved 
  to fish, complete puzzles, watch wildlife and watch car racing. Surviving in 
  addition to his wife, Catharine, are his daughters, Brenda L., wife of Ernest 
  Hicksenheiser of Palmyra, and Yvonne E., wife of Jeffrey Helt of Elizabethtown; 
  a grandson, Tyler Hicksenheiser; three stepgrandchildren, Amy Kreider, Kelley 
  Murrah and Tracy Helt; three step-great-grandchildren; sisters Mary R. Wise of 
  Manheim, Betty L. Eberly of Palmyra and Patricia A. College of Elizabethtown. 
  Relatives and friends are invited to a time of viewing on Wednesday, June 25, 
  2008, at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 40 W. Pine St., Palmyra, from 
  9:3010:30 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will 
  follow with military honors in the Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.
