  Dean L. Bartell LEBANON COUNTY Dean L. Bartell, 66, of Union Twp., Lebanon 
  County, died as the result of an automobile accident on January 2, 2008, in 
  Palmyra, PA. He is the son of Walter and Rose Hursch Bartell of Palmyra. He was 
  born on July 14, 1941, in Hershey, PA. Dean was a self-employed carpenter and 
  painter. He had worked formerly for Dechert's Dynamics as a machinist. Prior to 
  that, he worked as a coal miner in Tower City, PA. His hobby was restoring 
  horse-drawn sleighs, and he was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving him are his son, 
  Vincent L. of Jonestown; a daughter, Stephanie M. Bartell of Palmyra; a 
  daughter, Teresa, wife of Scott Smith of Lebanon; 8 grandchildren; 2 
  greatgrandchildren; brothers Nicholas of Lebanon and Stephan of Jonestown. He 
  is preceded in death by a brother, James Bartell. Private services will be 
  held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American 
  Cancer Society, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042. Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 
  is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
