Bashore, 80, of Bethel Township died Sunday, December 28, 2008, of natural causes in the Reading Hospital, where he was a patient since December 5th. He was the husband of the late Evelyn A. Bashore, who died April 16, 2007. Born April 3, 1928, in Bethel Township, he was the son of t Herbert and Emma (Klahr) Bashore. He was a graduate of Bethel High School. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel. He was a member of, and was the former fire chief of, the Bethel Union Fire Co. from 1954-1974. He also was an avid hunter. He was employed by Bresslers Garage, Bethel, and later operated his own business, Bashore Garage, from 19641974. He last worked as a shop supervisor for Windsor Service, Reading, from 19741993. Survivors include one son, Edward L. Bashore, husband of Donna J. of Bethel Township; three daughters, Audrey A. (Bashore) Brown of Bethel, Charlene M. (Bashore) Muckel of Mt. Aetna, Wenda M. (Bashore) Dinatale of Fredericksburg; two brothers, George Bashore of Bernville, Martin Bashore of Myerstown; two sisters, Martha (Bashore) Davidson of Seabring, Fla., AnnaMae (Bashore) Fisher of Rehrersburg; six grandchildren, Heather Papp, Angie Bomberger, Earl Wolf III, Mario Dinatale, Cory Muckel, Nino Dinatale; four greatgrandchildren, Michael, Shelly, Hunter, and Charles. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shelly Emerich. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, Bethel. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made the Bethel Union Fire Co., 9675 Old 22, Bethel, PA 19507. The Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is in charge of arrangements.
