  Naomi "Pearle" Bates
   
   
  Naomi "Pearle" Bates, 83, of Ono went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, 
  August 9, 2008, at the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of 
  Harold L. Bates, and on September 21st they would have celebrated their 62nd 
  wedding anniversary. Born in Somerset County on July 5, 1925, she was the 
  daughter of the late John and Elta Barnhart Reese. She attended the Ono United 
  Methodist Church, and loved crocheting, baseball, and especially hockey. In 
  addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Ronald L., husband of 
  Barbara J. Bates of Sinking Spring, and Jeffrey E., husband of Rita Bates of 
  Palmyra; daughters Cynthia F., wife of Donald R. Krall of Linglestown, and 
  Robin K., wife of Willard Pearson of Annville; granddaughters Rhonda L. Bates 
  Hadfield and her husband, Matthew of Hamburg, Melissa R. Krall Cochran and her 
  husband, Daniel of Morgantown; and grandsons Torrey L., husband of Rachel Bates 
  of Sinking Spring, Jason A., husband of Elizabeth Krall of Birdsboro, and Tyler 
  L. Bates of Palmyra; greatgrandchildren Alexandra G. Hadfield, Reese E. 
  Cochran, Asher C. Hadfield and Delaney R. Cochran. Funeral services will be 
  held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ono United Methodist 
  Church. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the 
  church.  Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown, is in charge of the 
  arrangements.
