  Margaret E. Berkheiser, 91, of 945 Duke Street, died Thursday, September 11, 
  2008, at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon. She was born August 16, 1917, in 
  Lebanon, to the late John Walter and Lydia Alice Kneasel Strainer. She was a 
  member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon. Surviving are daughter 
  Peggy Fox of Lebanon; brother Johnny Weik of Lebanon; grandchildren Noreen 
  Berkheiser of Lebanon, Wendy Conrad of Lebanon, Dwayne Fox of Illinois, Kenneth 
  Fox of Fredericksburg, Lori Fox of Cleona, Jody Maurer of Jonestown. She was 
  preceded in death by husband Sylvester "Wes" Berkheiser (1981), son George L. 
  Berkheiser Sr., grandchildren George L. Berkheiser Jr. and Kathleen Berkheiser 
  Brown, one greatgrandchild, and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be 
  held Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 
  226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, with viewing one hour prior to the service. 
  Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to 
  American Cancer Society, 526 Cumberland Street, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042-
  1274; and the Humane Society of Lebanon, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 
  17067.
