  Janice N. "Jan" Berkheiser, 71, of 2002 Allegheny Avenue, Lebanon, died Monday, 
  November 3, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was born January 29, 
  1937, to the late Herman G. Wolfe, and the late Margaret Rebecca Boltz Wolfe in 
  Lebanon. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon. She 
  was a transportation officer for the New Cumberland Army Depot. Surviving are 
  daughters Wendy L., spouse of Jeffrey Conrad of Lebanon, Noreen Berkheiser of 
  Lebanon; sister Bonnie, spouse of Ronald Knapp of Lebanon, brother Dale, spouse 
  of Noemi Landis of Lebanon, sister Brenda F., spouse of Victor Uhler of 
  Landisburg, brother Herman Wolfe of Lancaster, sister Patricia Wolfe of 
  Gordonville; grandchildren Derek Berkheiser, Heather Berkheiser, Ryan 
  Berkheiser, Christopher Brown, Lawrence Brown Jr., Kelly Clay, Joseph 
  Kwiatkowski Jr., Amy Miller, Stacie Shouse; and 15 greatgrandchildren. She was 
  preceded in death by husband George L. "Berky" Berkheiser Sr. (died July 19, 
  2003); daughter Kathleen Berkheiser Brown; son George L. Berkheiser Jr.; 
  brothers Dennis H. Landes, Warren P. Landes, Dale Wolfe; grandchild Ian Snyder. 
  Services will be held Friday, November 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Christman's 
  Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, with viewing one hour prior 
  to the service. Burial will be at Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery. Memorials can 
  be sent to American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 
  101, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or American Cancer Society, 526 Cumberland Street, 
  PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042-1274.
