Blauch, 86, of Countryside Christian Community, Annville, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Hannah Moyer Blauch, who died in 1992. Born in Derry Township on January 28, 1922, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Lillian H. Mumma Blauch. Elias was a dairy farmer in East Hanover Township for over 20 years, and then worked as a mechanic for Shuey's Sales and Service, Ono. He was a 1940 graduate of Hershey High School, a member of the Annville United Christian Church, a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, served on the Northern Lebanon School Board, and also served as caretaker of the United Christian Church Camp Meeting Facility. Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor J. Grubb of Lebanon and Geraldine, wife of Edward Heagy of Annville; three brothers, Mervin Blauch of Palmyra, Lester Blauch of Annville, and Karl Blauch of Palmyra; two sisters, Gladys Bowman of Elizabethtown and Thelma Hostetter of Annville; two grandchildren, Dale, husband of Tracy Heagy, and Darrell, husband of Cara Heagy; and three greatgrandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, and Natalie Heagy. He was preceded in death by a son, Elias D. Blauch Jr.; two brothers, Merle and Elvin Blauch; and a sister, Mildred Bomgardner. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Annville United Christian Church, 245 W. Church Street, Annville. Interment will be in St. John's E.C. Church Cemetery, Steelstown. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and also from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
