  Irvin H. Bomberger Irvin H. Bomberger, 86, of 1501 Woodland St., Lebanon, died 
  Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Spang Crest Manor. He was the husband of the late 
  Luella Garret Bomberger, who died August 2002. Born August 12, 1921, in the 
  city of Lebanon, he was the son of the late Irvin D. and Caroline Forry 
  Bomberger. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938, and from the Curtiss-
  Wright Technical Institute in Glendale, California, in 1941. A veteran of World 
  War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater, and received an 
  honorable discharge on April 20, 1941. He was a retired Federal employee from 
  Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown in 1967, with over 25 years of federal 
  service. He also retired from Hershey Foods on Aug. 15, 1986, where he was 
  employed until age 65. He was a member of the Hershey Chocolate Workers Union 
  464. He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon. He was 
  preceded in death by a sister Caroline E. Bomberger, R.N., in 1995. Surviving 
  are daughters LaRue B., spouse of the Rev. Steven Ridenhour of Wytheville, 
  Virginia, and Debra H., spouse of Joe DiPasquale of Lebanon; six grandchildren; 
  and one great-grandson. Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 1-
  2 p.m. in Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, followed 
  by services at 2 p.m. Interment in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be sent 
  to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. Eighth St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
