  Cyrus H. Bowman, 96, of 550 E. Main Street, Annville, The Lebanon Valley Home, 
  died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the 
  husband of the late Lucille M. Herr Bowman, who died in 2000. Born in Westmont, 
  Pa., on October 24, 1911, he was the son of the late Cyrus V. and Mamie L. 
  Hostetter Bowman. He retired in 1976 after 36 years of service in the small 
  screw department of Hamilton Watch, Lancaster, and was a U.S. Army veteran of 
  World War II, serving during the Occupation of Japan. Cyrus was a 1930 graduate 
  of Annville High School, a member of the Friends of Old Annville, and the 
  Annville High School Alumni Association. He and his wife established the Cyrus 
  H. and Lucille M. Bowman Scholarship at Annville-Cleona High School, and also 
  the CHB Scholarship at the Lancaster Bible College. Surviving are many nieces 
  and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen, Herman, and 
  Walter Bowman; and three sisters, Florence and Dorothy Boyer, and Ann Mae 
  Harris. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the chapel 
  of the Lebanon Valley Home, 550 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003, with inurnment 
  in Iona Cemetery. No viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to 
  the Benevolent Fund of the Lebanon Valley Home or the Friends of Ole Annville, 
  P.O. Box 99, Annville, PA 17003.
