Brennan Of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born in Shamokin on March 3, 1942, to the late Charles and Amelia "Kopitski" Brennan. Ron was a graduate of Middletown Area High School Class of 1960. He entered the Army Reserves and, at the same time, began a career of quality control inspecting at nuclear power plants, which included Three Mile Island, Wolf Creek in Kansas and Limerick, Pa. Ron spent an additional 23 years inspecting at the Dana Corporation in Reading, Pa., before his retirement in the year 2000. Surviving are his loving wife and soul mate of 37 years, Lodusky "Kuhn" Brennan; son Vaughn of Lebanon; daughter Ronnie of Manheim; his "one of a kind" brother, Dennis of Harrisburg; his favorite brother-inlaw, Vaughn Heym of Harrisburg; grandsons Zachary at Shippensburg University, Derrik of Cleona and Dustin of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews. Ron was well known and respected for his talent in the musical genre of R&B, Soul and DooWop, having sung and recorded in the early 60s with the School Boys, the Exciting Invictas and the Intentions. He loved music, dancing and all sports. Ron was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, United Steel Workers Union of America, Lawnton American Legion Post 998. Though he had a quiet demeanor, Ron possessed a great sense of humor and a deep love and respect for his family, friends and, above all, his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed, and his life and actions remembered by those who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 10 10 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 723 Lehman Street, Lebanon, Pa. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. until time of services in his church. K.M. Knight Funeral Home, 31 Second Street, Highspire, is in charge of the arrangements.
