Miller shabodeho@aol.com October 29, 2008, 10:58 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 10/15/2008 BriodyBoltz, Julia May Ann Julia May Ann Briody-Boltz, 80, of 800 Willow St., Apt 11E, Lebanon, died Saturday, October 11, 2008, in Lebanon. Born in Lebanon on September 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Bart R. and Susan S. Snavely Briody. She was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon High School, had attended Lebanon Valley College, and was a graduate of the Lebanon Business College. She had worked as a secretary at the Lebanon Steel Foundry, had taught business at Fredericksburg High School, and had worked for ABC News in New York City. She was the first Democratic female member of the Lebanon City School Board, and served on the local campaign committee for John F. Kennedy, when his campaign stop in Lebanon attracted over 10,000 people. She loved her Philadelphia Phillies and Freddy Couples. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are two sons, Eric A. H. Boltz of Lebanon and Charles G. Boltz III of Pace, Fla.; two grandsons, Logan J. and Nathaniel P. Boltz of Pace, Fla.; one sister, Elizabeth Briody-Fry of Carlisle, Pa.; four nieces, Kathleen, Susan, Becky, and Rachel; three nephews, John, David, and Bart. Preceded in death by one brother, John Briody. Funeral services Monday at 10 a.m. from Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon. Interment at Hill Church Cemetery, Annville.
