Miller shabodeho@aol.com February 12, 2008, 4:28 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News from 1/25/2008 Brubaker, Naomi Naomi Brubaker BRICKERVILLE Naomi Brubaker, 91, of Brickerville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Centerville, West Hempfield Township, on October 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Emma Beaver Webber. Her husband, the late Frederick Arzbaecher Brubaker, died December 20, 1997. They had shared 57 years of marriage. Naomi and her husband were longtime farmers in the Indiantown area north of Ephrata, until they sold the farm in 1987 and moved to Brickerville. She grew up in the Mountville Church of the Brethren, where she was a Sunday school teacher, served as a chorister, and sang in the Mountville Ladies Chorus. Since 1941, she was a member of the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren. Naomi's interests included needlework, letter writing, flower gardening, and playing the piano. The last of her immediate family, Naomi was preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Paul Webber; and sisters, Esther (Mrs. Alton) Bucher and Ruth (Mrs. David) Cassel. Naomi is survived by six children, James Brubaker, Ephrata, widower of the late Martha Zuck Brubaker, Paul Brubaker, Ephrata, husband of Evelyn Hitz Brubaker, Mary, married to Eugene Zimmerman, Ephrata, Ruth, married to Wilmer Thomas, Lititz, Sara, married to Galen Stauffer, Lititz, and Carol Brubaker, at home. Also surviving are a foster sister, Mary Miller Flickinger, Ephrata; as well as 19 grandchildren; and 28 greatgrandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, 351 Middle Creek Road, Lititz, with the Rev. John Hess and the Rev. Ivan Lutz officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Benevolence Fund, 351 Middle Creek Road, Lititz, PA 17543; or to Brethren Village Endowment Fund, P. O.
