  Bertha M. Burke nee Slike, 85, died Thursday, September 11, 2008, in ManorCare, 
  Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Louis H. Burke Sr. She was born in 
  Lebanon on February 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Floyd W. and Goldie 
  Whitcraft Slike. She had been employed for 28 years by the H.L. Green Company. 
  She was a member of Bethany U.M. Church, Lebanon, where she was a very active 
  member who helped in serving free meals; was a greeter, volunteer in the 
  nursery, and was a member of the women's group of the church. She was an avid 
  Hershey Bears fan, and she loved babysitting and spending time with her 
  grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She is survived by children Louis H. Jr. 
  and wife Marion Burke of Lebanon, Robert T. and wife Rhonda Burke of Myrtle 
  Beach, S.C., James E. and wife Diana Burke of Canada, Doris L., wife of Kenneth 
  Wartluft of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Floyd 
  Slike of Pueblo, Colo.; sister Verna Henning of Lebanon. She is also survived 
  by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, 
  Crystal Burke; great-grandson David Templin Jr.; brothers Paul Slike and 
  William W. Slike Sr.; sisters Kathryn Boyer, Dorothy McMinn and Ada Curtin. 
  Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Fifth 
  and Cumberland streets, Lebanon. Interment will be made in Ebenezer Covenant 
  Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30 a.m. to the time 
  of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany 
  U.M. Church, 510 N. Hanover St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
