Buse, 87, of Kettering Court, Palmyra, and formerly of Hershey, died Sunday, September 7, 2008, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born May 9, 1921, in Millerville, Minnesota, he was a son of the late Herman and Lena (Wilken) Buse. He was the owner of the former Buse's TV, Hershey; a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra; and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 95th Infantry Division. He had volunteered over 2,500 hours at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, a member of Brownstone Lodge No. 666 F. & A. M, Palmyra VFW No. 6417, Palmyra American Legion No. 72, and Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter No. 1983. A former member of the Palmyra Rotary, he was a Paul Harris Fellow. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary E. (Miller) Buse; children Patricia B., wife of Barry Leader of Lebanon, Richard H., husband of Amy Buse of Linglestown, and Jeffrey W., husband of Donna Buse of Grantville; a brother, Marvin Buse of Evansville, Minnesota; grandchildren Dale and Justin Leader, Ryan Buse, Julie McCurdy, Nathan Buse, Emily and Rachel Buse; greatgrandchildren Lucy, Sasha, Liam, and Caleb. Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008, in the DiMatteo Worship Center at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra, preceded by a viewing from 6 p.m. Burial, with military honors, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Palm Lutheran Church, 11 West Cherry Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 ;or to the Good Samaritan Fund, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.
