She was the wife of the late Lester S. Carpenter of Quentin. Born June 9, 1908, Quentin, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Mentzer Hoke. She had been a sewing machine operator at the Rexmont Sewing Factory. She was a member of the Quentin United Church of Christ, Quentin Fire Ladies Auxiliary, Lebanon Chapter 115 Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Amaranth. Survived by a daughter, Sandra, wife of John Lescisko of Elizabethtown. She was the last of her immediate family. Viewing will be at Quentin United Church of Christ on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from 10 until 11:30, the time of the service. Burial will be in Bismarck Quentin Cemetery.
