Coffman, 88, of Kempton at Brightmore, Wilmington, N.C., formerly of Palmyra, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, N.C. She was the wife of the late Hally F. Coffman, who died in 2005. Born in Criders, Va., on August 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Pearl M. Caplinger Shaver. She was a member of the Palmyra Church of the Brethren and the Woman of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Woodbury, N.J. Surviving are two sons, H. Franklin Coffman Jr. of Williamsburg, Va., and Paul L. Coffman of Omaha, N.D.; one daughter, Jean M., wife of William Roesink of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Norman Shaver and wife Susan of Manheim; a sister, Irene, wife of Ed Dietzler of Vallejo, Calif.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Shaver; and a sister, Helen Plasterer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut Street, Palmyra. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 1011 a.m. at the church. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
