  E. Jane Crowell, 84, formerly of Olde Hickory, Lancaster, died Wednesday, July 
  16, 2008, in the Moravian Manor, Lititz. She was born June 6, 1924, in Lawn, 
  Pa., a daughter of the late Jacob R. and Marie Erb Heilman. Jane retired as 
  chief probation officer for Lancaster County. She was a member of the Zion 
  Lutheran Church, Lebanon, and graduated from Temple University. She is survived 
  by a sister, Catherine R. Heilman of Lancaster; and was preceded in death by a 
  sister, Henrietta Heilman. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of 
  the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Humane Society 
  of United States, 2100 L Street, Washington, DC 20037. Rohland Funeral Home 
  Inc., Lebanon, is handling the arrangements.
