  John "Jack" B. Deamer Sr., 72, of Lebanon passed quietly Wednesday, August 6, 
  2008, joining his best friend, Ellen Marie Allwein Deamer, in heaven. Born in 
  Lebanon County on April 25, 1936, he was the son of the late George F. and 
  Laura Rabold Deamer. He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon, and 
  Giant Foods. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean 
  War era. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and was an avid sports 
  fan, especially of the Washington Redskins, Penn State and the Oakland As. He 
  loved picnics with his family, and was active with his seven grandchildren. He 
  also loved walking, listening to music, and watching movies. His two newest 
  discoveries were his new laptop and his trips to the Hollywood Casino with good 
  friends. He was a member of St. Paul The Apostle Church, Annville. Surviving 
  are five children, Janine M., wife of John Leahy of Lebanon, Jennifer M., wife 
  of Fred Krouse of Collegeville, Pa., John B. Deamer Jr. of Birmingham, Ala., 
  Jeffrey B. Deamer of Lebanon, and Joseph C. Deamer and wife Sandy of Hanover, 
  Pa.; seven grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Leahy, Brandon and Brooke Deamer, 
  Haley, Juliet and Sophia Krouse; one sister, Charmine Rhoads of Lebanon; and 
  numerous other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10 a.m. from St. 
  Paul The Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, Pa. Interment at 
  convenience of the family. Viewing hours Sunday 6-8:30 p.m., with a vigil 
  service at 8:30 p.m., and Monday 99:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 
  S. Ninth St., Lebanon.
