Viola E. Deaven ANNVILLE Viola E. Deaven, 87, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, and formerly of Green Point, passed away on Friday March 7, 2008, at the home. She was the wife of the late Lloyd A. Deaven. Born in Green Point, on January 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Katie Ditzler Zechman. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Lickdale, where she was involved with the United Methodist Women, the Coffee Klatch Quilting group and a member of R.S.V.P. She was a member of the Lebanon County Flower Club and the Green Point Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, her flowers and baking. She is survived by her son, Lloyd A. Deaven and his wife Patricia of Carlisle; her daughter, Shirley M., wife of Eugene Shaffer of Palmyra; five grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Felty. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 11, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown. No viewing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
