"Bertie" DeHart, 83, of Lebanon Valley Homes, Annville, and formerly of Sand Hill Road, Lebanon, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in the home. She was born September 30, 1924, in North Lebanon Township, a daughter of the late Oscar H. and Mae Eckert Sholly. She had worked for many local garment factories and for Lloyd's Potato Chips. She was an active member of the Independent Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and volunteer with many charities. Surviving are brothers Oscar D., spouse of Marilyn Sholly of Annville, and Kenneth H. Sholly of Lebanon; sister-in-law Gladys DeHart of Palmyra; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. She was preceded in death by husband George H. DeHart on May 4, 1988, and siblings Dorothy I. Sholly, Clair A. Sholly, Joyce Anna Sholly, and Esther Mae Sholly. Viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2008, from 9-10 a.m. in Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon, followed by services at 10 a.m. Interment in Ebenezer "Covenant" Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Independent Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Seventh and Maple streets, Lebanon, PA 17046.
