Detweiler, Lloyd K. Lloyd K. Detweiler LEBANON Lloyd K. Detweiler, 81, formerly of the Souderton area, died January 17, 2008, at his home in Lebanon, PA. He was the husband of 61 years to Bessie O. (Plessinger) Detweiler. Born in Telford, he was the son of the late Paul and Katie (Krupp) Detweiler. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in 1944 and served in the Civilian Public Service from 1945 to 1946. He was employed in the fuel oil sales and delivery field for many years, and retired from Hatfield Quality Meats in 1992. From 1954 to 1956 he served as administrator of the Rockhill Mennonite Home. He was ordained to the ministry in 1983 and served many years at the Bridgeport Mennonite Church, which later became the Chapel Mennonite Church. In his later years he continued to serve at Fredericksburg Bible Fellowship, where he was a member at the time of his death. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who reflected Christ to all. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, JoAnne Swartzentruber and her husband, Linford, of Hamburg, PA; Linda G. Derstine and her husband, Timothy, of Mapleton Depot, PA; Karen F. Siegrist and her husband, Mark, of Fredericksburg, PA; and Kathy J. Reinford and her husband, Lester, of Lebanon,PA; 33 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Betty Hagey, and her husband, Jonas, of Souderton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul K. Detweiler. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday, Jan. 21, between 6 and 8 P.M. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. Further viewing will be Tuesday 2- 4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M at Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road (Rt. 645) Myerstown. The funeral service will be at the church Wed. at 10 A.M. Interment adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to Bessie Detweiler, 518 Linda Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046.
