Dice LEBANON Homer Ambrose Dice of Lebanon passed away at the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. He was the husband of the late Erma G. Gerberich Dice. Born in Harrisburg on March 15, 1911, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Rebecca Umberger Dice of Marysville, Pa. He graduated from Marysville High School in Marysville, Pa. He was employed as a feed mill foreman at Millard's Mill in Annville, and as an industrial analyst for Bethlehem Steel Corporation, from which he retired in 1976. After retirement, he worked for the Daily News on a rural paper route. Later he worked part time at Sower's Printing purchasing department in Lebanon, and served as a bookkeeper for several small businesses in Lebanon. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lebanon, and was a member of the church choir. He was known throughout the area for his singing, and participated in many choirs and musical programs. He also was an avid golfer and volunteer at Kindred Place, where he resided for three years. He is survived by sons, the Rev. Ray E. and his wife Ruth E. Dice of Frankenmuth, Michigan, and Leroy E. and his wife Lynne Dice of Nokesville, Virginia; and daughters, Nancy E. and her husband George P. Fennell of Allentown, Pa., and Mary Anne and her husband Victor C. Allwein of Lebanon, Pa. He has four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Niles Dice of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a sister, Wilma Fedder of Duncanon, Pa., survive him. A sister, Velva Keller of Marysville; and brothers, Charles Dice of Marysville and Walter Dice of York, Pa., preceded him in death. A cousin, Esther Alexander of Harrisburg, Pa., survives him. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 28 N. Ninth Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. A viewing will be held prior to the memorial services from 9-10 a.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main Street, Annville, with interment to follow in Mt. Annville Cemetery.
