  Leroy H. Dieffenbach MYERSTOWN Leroy H. Dieffenbach, 90, of 318 W. Park Ave., 
  Myerstown, formerly of 26 W. Main St., Richland, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, 
  in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Ida 
  Troutman Dieffenbach. He was born April 11, 1917, in Frystown, a son of the 
  late Davis and Lottie Bashore Dieffenbach. He was employed for many years as a 
  truck driver for Whitmoyer's Laboratory in Myerstown, and later worked for 
  Century 21, Krall Real Estate. He was a member and past commander of the 
  Richland American Legion, Post 880. Larry served in the U.S. Army during World 
  War II, where he received the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal and the 
  European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. He is 
  survived by a son, Dennis C., husband of Carol Dieffenbach of Myerstown; 
  grandchildren, Craig D., husband of Stacy Dieffenbach of Schaefferstown, Katie 
  E. Dieffenbach of Philadelphia; sister, Kathryn, wife of Steve Weiner of Santa 
  Monica, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, James N. Dieffenbach; 
  brother, Ray Dieffenbach; and sister, Bessie Wetzel. Funeral service will be 
  held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Clauser Funeral Home, North Carpenter Street, 
  Schaefferstown, with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Interment 
  will be made in the Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions 
  may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 
  17042.
