  Douglas S. Dotter Jr., age 86, of Annville died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 
  the Golden Living Center of Reading. He was born in East Hanover Township, 
  Lebanon County, on May 6, 1922, to Douglas S. and Marie E. Showalter Dotter. He 
  was the husband of the late Lydia Hain Dotter. He was the owner and operator of 
  Dotter's Service of Annville. He was a certified inspection mechanic. He worked 
  at one time for International Harvester as a mechanic in Ephrata. He was a 
  former member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Palmyra, a member of 
  the American Legion Post, Annville, and a life member of the Elstonville 
  Sportsmen's Association. He was a 1941 graduate of Annville High School, but 
  attended the Jonestown High School. Surviving him are his son, Ray E. Dotter, 
  and his wife, Nancy of Wyomissing; and his three grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah 
  and Emily Dotter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of viewing 
  on Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 1-2 p.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home 
  Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by his funeral service with the Rev. 
  Timothy Speicher officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memorial 
  Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the 
  First Church of the Brethren Reading, 2200 State Hill Road, Wyomissing, PA 
  19610.
