  Dry, Ruby Carpenter   
   
   
  Ruby Carpenter Dry, 71, of 1624 Center St., Lebanon, died June 6, 2008, in her 
  residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Dale A. Dry Sr., 
  with whom she would have celebrated her 54th wedding anniversary this August. 
  Born in Mt. Aetna on April 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Roy S. 
  and Salome Strickler Carpenter. She was retired from the sanitation department 
  at Hershey Foods Corp. and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, 
  Pleasant Hill. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Dale A. Dry 
  Jr. of Palmyra, David A. Dry of Highspire and Daniel A. Dry, at home; three 
  daughters, Kathryn H., wife of Steven W. Brenner, of Harrisburg, Melody A. 
  Behney of Annville and Della A., wife of Darryl B. Moyer, of Lebanon; nine 
  grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Jane, wife of Gene Peffley 
  of Lebanon and Shirley, wife of Alfred Gable of Lebanon; and her faithful dog, 
  Cole. Memorial service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. from St. John's United 
  Methodist Church, 1709 Center St., Lebanon. Interment will be held at the 
  convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to 
  the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American 
  Diabetes Association. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is in charge of 
  arrangements.
