  Bernice Pierson Eckenrode, 88, a resident of ManorCare, died July 28, 2008. 
  Born October 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Martha 
  Pierson. In addition to her parents, husband Donald M. Eckenrode and son David 
  J. Eckenrode preceded her in death. Bernice is survived by sons Daniel P. 
  Eckenrode and Thomas P. Eckenrode; daughter Regina A. Lagakos; six 
  grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She retired from the Pennsylvania 
  State Employment Office. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and painting. Bernice 
  was an avid animal lover. Services will be held at the convenience of the 
  family. Arrangements by Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services Inc.
