  Cindy M. (Hammer) Edwards, 48, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at the Palmyra 
  Nursing Home. She was born to Harvey and Mildred Behney Hammer on June 16, 
  1959, in Lebanon, Pa. She is the wife of Lonnie D. Edwards She worked for 20+ 
  years cooking for various local restaurants, as well as the Lebanon Valley 
  Brethren Home in Palmyra. She is a member of the Palm Lutheran Church. She 
  enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. She was a proud member of the Ladd 
  Hanford Cruisers Relay for Life Team. Surviving are her husband, Lonnie; and 
  daughter Amanda M. Edwards, at home; a sister, Dianne Custer of Annville; and 
  brothers Gary and Harvey Hammer, both of Lebanon, and Jeffrey Hammer of 
  Palmyra. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Lonnie Edwards Jr., who 
  died in 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of viewing on Monday, 
  May 19, 2008, from 1-2 p.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., 
  Palmyra, followed by her funeral with the Rev. Dr. John Merkel, Palm Lutheran 
  Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Palmyra Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, PO 
  Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
