Miller shabodeho@aol.com December 28, 2008, 1:23 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 12/10/2008 Esch, Violet Mae Violet Mae Esch, 85, of Blue Ball passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 8, 2008, at the Ephrata Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. Her husband, Mahlon G. Esch, died January 14, 1976. Born in Drumore, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Swinehart Miles. She attended Harvest Fellowship for the past 46 years. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, collecting state quarters, going to the mountains, and watching traffic from her front porch at her home near the Blue Ball Square. Her faith and her journey has led her to the final frontier, where she is basking in the glory and the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her many loved ones who have gone on before. We love and will hold many precious memories of you in our hearts. Surviving are eight children, Shirley M. Jones of New Holland, Clara M. (Pastor Eugene) Weaver of Stevens, Marlene C. (the Rev. Richard) Martin of Lebanon, Melvin G. (Lois) Esch of Ephrata, Robert L. (Rose Ann) Esch of Denver, Linda L. (Larry Gwinn) of Reinholds, Jane L. (Earl) Martin of Manheim, and Rita F. (J. Jeffrey) Long of Annville; 19 grandchildren; 42 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers Charles and Lester Miles; sister Elizabeth McClenaghan; a grandson, Randy L. Esch; and great-greatgrandson Cody B. Jones. Funeral Thursday at 10 a.m. at Harvest Fellowship, 34 W. Church St., Stevens, PA 17578, with a viewing on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., and on Thursday from 9-10 a.m., both at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to her church for the Kenya Orphanage Fund.
