John D. Estep PALMYRA John D. Estep, 80, of Palmyra died Friday, February 29, 2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born February 12, 1928 in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, he was a son of the late William J. and Dora F. (Lindamood) Estep. He retired as a PP&L linesman with 43 years of service; was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member, usher, and trustee of Shenks Community Fellowship Church; and a former member of the Quittapahilla Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mary K. (Liskey) Estep; children Gail Marie Bolan of Palmyra, Gwenda Lynn Avers and Barry Estep, both of Mount Joy, Bryan Estep of Mountville, and Sherry S. Elliott of Palmyra; siblings William Estep Jr., Martha Copenhaver, Hilda Helmick, Helen Mitchel, Irene Covert, Richard Estep, Austin Estep, and Frances Miller; 14 grandchildren' and 13 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Lindamood, Nelson Estep, Kirby Estep, and Galen Estep. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Shenks Community Fellowship Church, 5880 Schoolhouse Road, Elizabethtown. Burial will be in the adjoining Shenks Cemetery. Viewing 6 – 8 p.m. Monday and 10 – 11 a.m. Tuesday, both at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042; or his church, 5880 Schoolhouse Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
