Etnoyer, 92, formerly of Grantville died Thursday, March 13, 2008 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. Born July 9, 1915 in Oberlin, he was the son of the late Mervin L. and Anna (Bingaman) Etnoyer. He retired as supervisor in the molding department from Hershey Foods Corporation with 47 years of service; was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Grantville and East Hanover Autumn Leaves. He was a life member of the Grantville Volunteer Fire Company, the Shellsville VFW 9639 and was a founding member of the Twin Pines Hunting Camp, Huntingdon County. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific aboard the USS Phobos and was president of the school board when the Lower Dauphin School District was formed. He was the widower of Mabel (Hetrick) Etnoyer to whom he was married for 60 years and Vera M. Mills Etnoyer and was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Dennis Mills and a sister Irene Hess. Surviving are his children Donald E., husband of Jill Etnoyer of Annville and Linda E. Mills of Palmyra; Eleanor Hoffman of Annville and Charlotte, wife of Isaac Wampler of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 165 Firehouse Road, Grantville, preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM until time of services. Burial will be in Grantville Cemetery.
