  Elsie E. Fields, 92, of Grantville died Friday, October 24, 2008, in the 
  Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. Born July 19, 1916, in 
  Bethel Township, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and 
  Sarah (Gundrum) Bernheisel. She was a former member of Bunker Hill Evangelical 
  Congregational Church, Lebanon, was a member of Jonestown Perseverance Fire 
  Company, East Hanover Township Autumn Leaves, East Hanover Township Farm Women, 
  and Grantville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. A life member of 
  Shellsville VFW No. 9639 Ladies Auxiliary, she was the treasurer for 14 years. 
  She was the widow of Charles W. Fields ,who died August 31, 1999. Surviving are 
  her children, Charles A., husband of Joan Fields of Myerstown, Raymond E. 
  Fields of Grantville, Ruth A., wife of Randy Hand of Linglestown, and Kenneth 
  L. Fields of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a 
  greatgranddaughter; and a great-greatgranddaughter. Funeral services will be 
  held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown 
  Road, Grantville, preceded by a viewing from 10 a.m. Burial will be in 
  Grantville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shellsville VFW, 
  8926 Jonestown Road, Grantville, PA 17028; or to the Grantville Volunteer Fire 
  Company, PO Box 39, Grantville, PA 17028.
