  Frantz, A. James     
   
  A. James Frantz, 89, of Bethel died peacefully July 15th at the St. Joseph's 
  Hospital, Reading, with his beloved wife of 66 years, Violet (Koch), by his 
  side. Born in Rehrersburg on January 2, 1919, he was the son of the late Amos 
  and Nora (Easton) Frantz. He retired in 1979 from New Penn Motor Express after 
  31 years of service, and was a member of Teamsters Local 429. He was also a 
  member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren. He was an avid sports fan and 
  a skilled landscaper, but loved his family above all else. In addition to his 
  wife, he was the father of Carol, widow of Jacob Sholl, Flora Willette, 
  companion of Art Cooper, James E., husband of Ruth, Jeffrey, husband of Linda, 
  Norene Nikki, wife of Duane Gross, and Tina, wife of Randy Klopp. He is also 
  survived by 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and his sister, Ruth 
  Keeney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Orpha Ziegler. Services will be 
  private and at the convenience of the family.  Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral 
  Home, Jonestown, is in charge of the arrangements.
