Garman, 65, of Lebanon died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Marierose Stefonich Garman. Born in Lebanon on March 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Harry C. Sr. and Emma F. Rhen Garman. He was a retired electrician, and had taught in the electrical shop at the Lebanon County Vo-Tech evening program for several years, and retired from the Milton Hershey School, where he taught for 17 years. He was also a union steward at the Milton Hershey School. He enjoyed bowling, doing home improvements, designing and building things, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Fire Company and a member of St. Cecilia's Church, Lebanon. Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Andrea L., wife of Scott Pelfrey of Lebanon, Douglas J., husband of Kimberly Garman of Myerstown, Brian P., husband of Denise Garman of Lebanon, and Jennifer E., wife of Barry Nealy of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Sara, Courtney, Drew, Jeffrey, Delaney, and Evan H.; two step-grandchildren, Kaisha and Nikki; one great-grandchild, Jaylia; one brother, Dale B. Garman of Eugene, Ore.; one sister, Brenda Delawder of Fredericksburg; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Garman. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 11 a.m. from St. Cecilia's Church, 202 E. Lehman St., Lebanon. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Pa. Viewing Thursday evening from 6-8, with a vigil service at 7:45 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. Ninth St., Lebanon, and Friday morning from 10-11 at the church.
