  Kenneth Lee Garrison Sr., of Middletown died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the 
  Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born October 19, 1934, in Lebanon County, he was a 
  son of the late Eleanor Garrison Esworthy. After working as a supervisor in 
  California shipyards, he retired as a machinist from nuclear power plants, 
  having worked all across the United States. He was raised in Sand Beach and was 
  a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving aboard the USS Pittsburgh. 
  Surviving are his children, Kenneth Garrison Jr., Michael Garrison, Mark 
  Garrison, Randy Garrison, Ryan Garrison and Karen Macedon, all of California; 
  brothers Earl Garrison of Middletown and Gary Esworthy of Harrisburg; 12 
  grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 
  a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, 
  Grantville, preceded by a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of services Burial 
  with military honors will be in Shells Cemetery, Grantville. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Hospice, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, 
  Hospice Unit, Ward 1-4B, Lebanon, PA 17042.
