  Luceille Elizabeth Gassert, 87, of 22 Springhouse Drive, Myerstown, died 
  Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in her home. She was born October 18, 1921, in 
  Lebanon, daughter of the late John J. and Rose Gearhart. She was a member of 
  Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had worked for Bannon Mills, and as a 
  seamstress for her friend, Pauline Laudermich. She was a life member of the 
  Lebanon Chapter No. 115 Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order 
  of the Amaranth Court No. 131, Hebron Hose Co. No. 1, Lebanon County Firemen's 
  Ladies Auxiliary, and Senior Center of Lebanon Valley. Surviving are daughter 
  Marcialene G., spouse of Thomas P. Arnold of Destin, Florida; grandchild Steven 
  P., spouse of Nancy Arnold, Scott J., spouse of Natalie Arnold, and Charlotte; 
  stepgrandchildren Haley and Justin; and several nieces and nephews. She was 
  preceded in death by husband Clarence Jacob Gassert on Feb. 23, 2008, son 
  Jeffry J. Gassert, brothers Robert and Mark Gearhart, and sisters Katherine 
  Nicholas and Susan Smith. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 
  2009, from 10-11 a.m. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 N. Eighth 
  Street, Lebanon, with Order of Eastern Star service at 10 a.m. Memorial 
  services to follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Cremains interment in Mt. Lebanon 
  Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to American Cancer Society, 526 Cumberland 
  Street, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042-1274; or her church.
